Bisa jadi jamu-jamu instant dari beberapa merek ternama yang banyak beredar sekarang memang ditakar untuk lidah orang-orang kota yang kurang terbiasa dengan jamu. Sedangkan bagi kita yang biasa mengkonsumsi jamu tradisional takaran tersebut terasa kurang nendang, kurang maknyuss.

Jamu tradisional bisa meniru produk obat yang dijual bebas dimana mereka memakai kode warna dalam bulatan untuk menunjukkan tingkat kekerasan obat. Ide yang sama bisa dipakai industri jamu untuk menunjukkan kekentalan/kekerasan jamu.

Tentu saja kekentalan/kekerasan jamu memerlukan standarisasi. JIka produk jamu ingin meningkatkan penetrasinya dan diterima masyarakat luas maka standarisasi adalah hal yang mendesak dan tidak bisa ditawar. Ini adalah pekerjaan rumah kita (pemerintah dan industri jamu) agar industri jamu kita semakin maju dan menjadi rujukan bagi industri jamu dunia.

Disaat tren pengobatan herbal dan makanan/obat-obatan organik sedang naik kita tidak boleh menyi-nyiakan kesempatan ini. Jangan sampai industri dari ngara tetangga mengambil peluang ini dan kita hanya menjadi pemasok bahan baku saja.

Klaten (Solopos.com) – Maraknya iklan obat herbal atau obat tradisional yang mengklaim tak ada efek samping dinilai sebagai iklan menyesatkan. Sebab, seberapapun khasiatnya herbal untuk penyembuhan, obat tersebut tak 100 persen aman.

"Kalau ada iklan yang menyatakan tanpa efek samping, itu iklan menyesatkan. Misalnya, makan keripik mlinjo, kalau kebanyakan bisa menaikkan asam urat," kata dr Arijanto Jonosewojo Sp PD, Kepala Klinik Obat Tradisional Indonesia dari RS dr Soetomo Surabaya pada seminar Saintifikasi Jamu di RSUP Dr Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten, Kamis (3/3/2011).

Menurutnya, obat herbal atau jamu sangat mungkin diramu dengan obat konvensional. Bahkan jamu yang semula menjadi terapi komplemen bisa berbalik menjadi terapi utama. "Jamu boleh dipakai meski belum ada uji pre klinik karena dianggap warisan yang telah teruji," katanya.

Jamu rebusan, lanjutnya, akan jauh lebih bagus dibanding yang dibuat kapsul. "Sebab, zat aktif yang larut dalam air itulah yang akan bekerja," imbuhnya.

Dalam pemberian obat herbal, kata dia, konsumen tetap harus mengacu pada empat tepat dan satu waspada, yakni tepat indikasi, tepat penderita, tepat obat, tepat dosis dan tepat cara pemakaian, serta waspada efek samping.

"Jamu saya suka. Cuma kalau terlalu pahit memang kurang suka. Saya suka yang kayak permen dicampur jahe. Rasanya enak. Jamu itu baik untuk kita, natural," kata Asty kepada VIVAnews.

Pesinetron dan presenter ini menambahkan ia memang tak asing dengan jamu. Ia besar di Semarang sehingga sering mengkosumsi minuman tradisional tersebut.

Tak hanya minum jamu, Asty juga rajin mengunjungi salon untuk menjalani perawatan rambut dan tubuh. Demi menjaga penampilannya, wanita kelahiran 19 Juni 1984 ini tak sayang mengeluarkan uang yang tak sedikit.

"Ini adalah anugerah yang terindah. Seluruh tubuh harus dijaga dengan baik. Mau perawatan yang terbaik memang butuh modal," ujarnya sambil tersenyum.

Ia mengaku sangat merasakan manfaat dari segala perawatan yang dijalaninya tersebut. Apalagi, ia harus tampil di atas panggung dan dilihat banyak orang. Ia tak mau terlihat asal-asalan. "Bagi saya penampilan itu sangat penting. Sehat, cerah, aktraktif, dan penuh semangat," ungkapnya.
